Scientific profile
- Byambadolgor Munkhbaatar obtained her Bachelor of Engineering in Life Science and Technology from the Tokyo Institute of Technology, following her Associate of Engineering degree in Chemistry and Materials Science from the National Institute of Technology, Gunma College.
- During her undergraduate studies, she conducted research in the Peptide Engineering and Chemical Biology Laboratory at the Tokyo Institute of Technology under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Hiroshi Tsutsumi. Her bachelor thesis focused on the development of fluorescent silica nanoparticles modified with cell-penetrating peptides for drug delivery applications. Previously, she completed her associate-degree research at the National Institute of Technology, Gunma College under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Alexandre Loukanov, where she worked on the development of carbon nanodots for therapeutic applications.
- She also gained industrial research experience in Research and Development at WORLD INTECH Co., Ltd. (employed at NOF Corporation), where she worked on organic synthesis and instrumental analysis.
- Currently, she is pursuing a Master’s degree in Nutritional Medicine at the University of Lübeck and is undertaking an internship in the Bioinformatics Service Unit, supervised by Axel Künstner, within the Medical Systems Biology Group led by Prof. Hauke Busch.
